Wooohooo Finally!

For a while there my computer wasn't letting me come to this site and then I kind of forgot about it (oops!) but I just thought of it and it worked! Anyways a couple of things. I made an octopus a while back. Here he is:

Legs in progress:

He's a hat!

It eats dogs too!

I also got these two big boxes of fabric from my grandmother's house. Lots of cute patterns.

That's all for now although I have been working on a dinosaur not done yet, maybe someday he will be.

No pictures

No pictures right now, sorry. I'm on a different computer, but I took this opportunity to log on because for some reason I haven't been able to log on for a couple of days. Something was wrong with either the website or my computer. Anyways, I made an octopus a couple days ago out of fleece. He's machine sewn. The day before yesterday I drew a dinosaur, I guess a brontosaurus or apatosaurus or whatever. He's pretty generic but I have been tweaking him for the past couple of days and today enlarged him to make a pattern for a stuffed animal, he'll be green. With spots. I'll take pictures of all my drawings and hopefully, fingers crossed, pictures of the finished plush. That's all for now. Oh and today's my birthday!

Small Things

I made this last night because I wanted to test out a fortune cookie. I plan on making one to use as a zipper pull for a sushi bag. I was thinking about hammering an eyelet into it to make a keychain easier, but I haven't found suitable eyelets yet. Right now I'm just using it as a sort of charm for my scissors.

I also found this in my bathroom when I was cleaning it up. It's a diaper pin. I also found two others but they were plain, not cute like this one!

I made this little doughnut a couple months ago I turned him SO many times and then just ended up not really turning him at all. I kind of regret not putting sprinkles on him but I didn't think it would look right.

That's all for now more later.

Zhorg!... and bag

I made this little fellow a couple days ago. His name is Zhorg, he's an alien. I'm thinking about making more friends for him a kind of alien/monster line of plush. His neck's a bit skinnier than I would of liked though. Note the fangs :} GRR

I also got this yesterday at Victoria's secret. I really like the pattern and the shape.

I need some sort of logo. I have an idea but can't really work it out.

I Keep My Promises

See I told you I'd be back. I had a little photo shot a little bit ago and took pictures of a lot of my stuff. Now keep in mind that I'm NOT a photographer.
I made this little guy last night. He's a giraffe if you couldn't tell. Admittedly he is a bit wonky. He is based on a stuffed animal that I bought and have been wanting to copy for a while now. He is felt and machine sewn with details sewn on with embroidery floss.

Here's the original:

Them together:

And mine in progress:

Here are some other views of mine. Notice his back legs are a bit off so he can't stand up straight. Poor little guy.

The left one's short and the right one's long. Ha! Point and laugh....NOW!
Also for some reason he won't stop looking to the right.
Second post done. I'm going to be going back to older stuff that I've made.

My First Post!

This is my first ever post. How exciting. I'll post pictures of all my stuff as soon as I can figure out how to. Heh heh I'm a bit computer/camera/technology illiterate. First let me start off by telling about myself. My name is Jessica. I have crafted all my life but only recently really started it back up because of inspiration from some great craft bloggers. I live in Florida. I mostly sew stuffed animals, by hand using embroidery floss and acrylic felt (I know, I know). I also embroider and have lots of ideas for bags and clotjing but they're still all in my head. I dream of learning to crochet but that's not going too well. I set up a site on Etsy but since I have never made more than one of anything, it's currently empty. Oh and I'm a horrible artist but draw all my own patterns so you can probably see where this is going. That's all for now, my first post is done!
